YankeeWally was an influencer long before the term became fashionable.
But she was never interested in selling products, promoting lifestyles, or building a brand. She simply wanted to share herself — her thoughts, her humour, her ideas, and her opinions on whatever happened to cross her path — with anyone who cared to listen.
Like many people stepping into unfamiliar waters, her audience was modest at first. But little by little her reputation grew, and over time she gathered a remarkable following across the many online spaces she frequented.
She was a passionate Royalist — perhaps being born on the 21st of April, the same day as Queen Elizabeth II, helped shape that affection. And she had little patience for those who, in her view, misused the privileges and responsibilities that royal life bestowed upon them. She voiced those opinions openly and fearlessly, and for doing so she was often pursued and treated in ways that were deeply unfair.
But this reflection is not really about controversy or online battles.
It is about the warm, funny, resilient spirit that I was privileged to know as a dear friend for several years.
Over that time we shared the full gamut of emotions, though somehow there was almost always a rebound by the following day. She once said to me: “I usually bounce back quite quickly. My Mam always called me ‘the bouncer’. Shit don’t faze me for long.”
And somehow, that feels exactly right to remember her by.
May she continue bouncing……

Yankee Wally…I very much looked forward to her new videos and her opinions because I often agreed either with her. I remember her talking about cottages in Ireland and how if she could she might buy one …one day. Her opinions on different foods that people would send her too was funny it was a laugh to listen to Wally.. I liked her stories on what she’d get up to in her younger days and I remember her often stopping the video to have a cough. I can still hear her voice and her laugh. We all know what pregnancy looked and felt like and we all knew that American was as fake as feck..Wally was voicing what we all thought, and still do think. I miss her videos and thought it really horrible how she was treated, Wally they’ll get there’s..I hope heaven treats you with the love and warmth I know it offers, there are a lot more memories, especially the tomato conversations, but I’m sure others will elaborate on those..miss you still!!

Wally made me laugh out loud so often. I loved to sit down with a cup or glass of something to hear her latest. She was funny and honest and self deprecating, and I just loved her throaty laugh and her irreverence. She was on the nail about the dreaded duo right from the start (I followed her from the start) and the SS made her life hell.
I just hope she recovered from the trauma of that and that she knew how very much she was loved and appreciated. And what a beauty too.

Our dear Wally, there really are no words to describe what a blessing you were. Your wit, your warmth and that infectious laugh were a tonic to the world. Wally really was one of those unique people you often hear other’s speak of. She had such a rare gift for making you feel special. I’d listen to her for hours at a time, laughing at her hilariously funny stories. And, what a wonderful life she lived. Oh, the stories she told!
Now, there is a huge void in the space where Wally once was. She shone in her own space with courage. She stood for truth and justice, tenaciously.
Yankee Wally created a place for her community to spend time with her, and was a true friend to all. Her heart was gold.
We’ll never forget the wrongs visited upon our dear friend. She was just a woman who spoke the truth as she saw it. Rest easy now my friend. *Yankee Wally* You will live on in our hearts forever. Much love, AC

Yankee Wally was the first person I watched on YouTube. She had such a fighting spirit, great sense of humour and her story telling was always full of vitality, passion and integrity. I then followed her for years on Twitter and again her engagement highlighted her wicked humour and courage. She will be sorely missed. God bless her soul.

I found Sadie in 2020 during a major life change. I looked forward to her broadcasts so much. She made me smile and even laugh out loud at times. Her story telling kept my mind busy and I felt bereft the day her channel went down. I knew in my soul Sadie was really ill and her passing is just such a loss. Rest in peace Sadie you were a truth warrior and I will be forever grateful to you.

From the very beginning, you said what you thought about “Megxit.” I hope you can see now how many so-called royalists “always knew,” and that there is some sense of vindication for you in finally being proven right.
